The problem that started it
Indian SMBs deserve better HR tooling than what's on the market. Most existing options were built for either large enterprises (too expensive, too complex) or for the US/EU market (don't handle PF, ESIC, multi-company structures, GST, or face recognition). Small businesses ended up cobbling together spreadsheets, paper attendance registers, and manual payroll — error-prone, time-consuming, and legally risky.
We built BizlumoAI to fix that. Compliance-aware, multi-company by default, priced for businesses with 10–500 employees, and engineered for the realities of running operations in India. It's not a US product retrofitted for India — it was designed for India from the first commit.
What we believe
HR software shouldn't cost more than HR people
Most Indian SMBs spend ₹15,000–25,000/month on HRMS software. For a 50-person company, that's a meaningful chunk of OpEx — sometimes more than what they pay their HR person. We thought that was backwards. Software should make HR cheaper, not more expensive.
Compliance should be invisible
You shouldn't have to know what an ECR file is to run payroll correctly. The system should handle PT, ESIC, PF, TDS calculations automatically — and your CA should be able to download what they need without you understanding the format.
Multi-company is normal, not exotic
Indian businesses commonly run 2-5 entities — a Pvt Ltd here, a partnership there, a sole proprietorship for the side venture. Software that treats each as a separate ₹6,999/month subscription isn't designed for India.
Face recognition kills buddy punching, full stop
Fingerprint scanners get fooled. RFID cards get shared. Manual registers are routinely faked. Face recognition with proper anti-spoofing is the only attendance system that actually proves who showed up.
Who builds this
BizlumoAI is built by MoonFellow IT Solutions Pvt Ltd, a Noida-based software company. Our background is in software engineering and years of working closely with Indian SMBs across services, manufacturing, and retail — long enough to know what HR teams actually need versus what enterprise vendors try to sell them.

What we're explicitly not building
We've decided not to build:
- Performance reviews / 360° feedback — there are dedicated tools (Lattice, 15Five) that do this better. We'd rather integrate than compete.
- Recruitment / ATS — same reason. Use Lever, Greenhouse, or Naukri RMS.
- Engagement surveys — Officevibe and Culture Amp own this space.
- LMS — Disco and Northpass exist.
Doing fewer things better is more useful than doing everything poorly. If you need an all-in-one platform, Keka and Darwinbox will serve you better. If you want HR's operational backbone done right, we're your tool.
